General

What is VFS Global's role in the visa process?
VFS Global is solely responsible for administrative tasks such as collecting applications, capturing biometrics, and returning passports. We do not play any part in the decision-making process of visa approvals or rejections. That authority lies exclusively with the respective diplomatic missions.

Biometrics

Do I need to submit biometrics every time I apply?
For most countries, biometrics remain valid for a period of 59 to 120 months. If you have submitted biometrics within this validity period for the same destination country, you may not need to submit them again. However, requirements vary by government, so always check the specific country's guidelines.

Application

Can I track my application status online?
Yes. Once your application is submitted, you will receive a unique Tracking ID. You can enter this ID on our 'Track Application' page to view real-time updates on your application's progress.

Appointments

What happens if I miss my scheduled appointment?
If you miss your appointment, you will need to schedule a new one through our portal. Depending on the specific mission's rules, your previous fee might be non-refundable, and you may be required to pay again. We highly recommend arriving 15 minutes before your scheduled time.

Services

Are premium services mandatory for faster processing?
No. Premium services, such as the Premium Lounge or Courier Return, are entirely optional and are designed for comfort and convenience. Purchasing these services does not influence the processing time or the final decision of your visa application.

Top 3 Mistakes to Avoid

01

Incomplete Documentation

Failing to provide all required documents as per the checklist is the most common reason for application delays or rejections.

02

Incorrect Visa Category

Applying for a tourist visa when your primary purpose is business can lead to immediate refusal at the border.

03

Missed Appointments

Arriving late or missing your biometric appointment forces you to reschedule, delaying your entire travel plan.
